MidEvil
This game was made in the early 90s but never published, a true diamond in the rough. It has only ever been played by the creators and their close friends, exuding the creativity and originality of the decade. It possesses mechanics not seen in the strategy genre. Each player begins with a castle, dragon, wizard, knight, and two pikemen. Your wizard begins humbly, but with time can become a true terror on the battlefield, gaining a new list of spells with each level. The wizard's level one spell, "nurture dragon," is the only method of obtaining a dragon's egg. Dragon eggs are traded to Zeus for special favors, the most important of which is the ability to increase your wizard's level and taxes. The heads of dragons can be traded to the devil to increase loot from fallen enemies. With enough heads, the devil will assassinate one enemy general for you. In games with more than two people, if a player is eliminated by destruction of their castle or assassination, all the eliminated player's land, troops, wizards, and structures are the killers, and the game continues.
All attacks, wizard spells, and even the movement of your dragon are randomly rolled and can fail, some with devastating consequences. For example, any wizard summon spell that fails can drop a green wild dragon almost anywhere on the map. This can be changed to always work for a completely different experience; however, this option is hidden somewhere in the game.
The game was made and intended to be played "hotseat"; however, multiplayer online is easily achieved through sharing saves with friends.

The King's Legacy
The Grand Unifier, grows old. His tireless efforts brought many weary lands together under his rule. Yet with age, his strength falters. Death's shadow looms, and with no heir, his ambitious generals threaten to undo his life's work with their petty squabbles.
For years, the King has watched them, deliberately preventing the conquest of the northern barbarians. He sees their potential, their eagerness to join the realm and escape destruction. Secretly, he has contracted the barbarians to construct grand castles. Now, a desperate plan takes shape in his mind.
"My generals," the King declares, "your petty rivalries threaten to undo all I have built. To prevent this, I present a contest. Enter your names in the Scroll of Deeds: Take trusted men and claim your castles. Tax those lands, and build your armies. The one who proves worthy shall unite the realm under their banner. He who delivers the heads of his rivals upon a pike shall be king! With no rivals remaining, my dream of a united kingdom will endure."
"Know this," he warns, "risk and sacrifice are the prices of power. There can be only one."
